At The June Drop, we create artisan slipmats that elevate your audio setup while keeping your records safe. Now, we are excited to announce two new additions to our best-selling "Cat Nap" family...

Two new feline friends 🐈 🐈⬛

When our original Orange "Cat Nap" slipmat quickly became a customer favorite, requests for variations started to come in. One specifically for a tabby cat, and we loved the idea of the intricate layering of color and texture. That's where the Tabby "Cat Nap" design came in. At that point, a minimalist black cat design seemed like the logical next step with spooky season in full swing.

Leaning into the white slipmat effect ⚪️

With the Black "Cat Nap" slipmat, we are debuting a crisp white background— a first for our studio. While standard slipmats lean dark, this bright backdrop acts like a lightbox on the platter, making translucent and colored vinyl pressings absolutely pop, with the black cat adding the perfect contrast.

Refining our vision for seasonal drops + collaboration 🌷 🌲

The Black "Cat Nap" slipmat also marks a small, subtle step toward a broader vision of intentional, artist-driven seasonal drops. We want to celebrate holidays and changing seasons without falling into cliché, tired tropes— and a cozy, spooky black cat struck a natural balance.

We are currently bringing this exact same artistic focus for upcoming winter slipmat designs.

As we design what's next, we are actively looking to partner with record stores, independent labels, and creators. We want to collaborate on custom curations, unique colorways, and exclusive seasonal releases that bridge the gap between fine art and high-fidelity music.
