Ceramic "Octopus" Vase

A true one-of-a-kind art piece, our 9" tall ceramic Octopus Vase is wheel thrown, hand-painted, glazed, and fired in Philadelphia. Inspired by painted clay pots from ancient times, our Octopus design emotes a sense of timeless playfulness and is the main character of several other June Drop products, blending a sense of art history and contemporary design. 

In partnership with ceramicist, Devin Brown, and Yay Clay, each piece is wheel thrown locally, and later hand-painted in our Fishtown art studio. It is then glazed and fired at cone 6.

Note: Cone 6 reaches over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit- ensuring durability and a unique one-of-a-kind finish. Natural variations in color and pattern occur and highlight the artistry and intricate ceramic process. 

This vase is perfect for someone looking for home decor that stands out in a sea of mass-production. It is a celebration of ceramics and the countless hours that go into honing the craft.
